Bear Lake are five musicians from Michigan, named after the lake with the same name in the north of the state. They mostly compose their songs in a remote cabin along that lake. Apart from the local nature, they also get inspired by bands like Guster, Snow Patrol and Band Of Horses. Their second album If You Were Me was a huge success in the American College Music Chart shortly after release. We Were The Young is this week’s KX Expat Plugin.
Sven and his KX colleague Simone Walraven create their radio shows many miles away from the KX Radio studio in Amsterdam: Simone from the US, Sven from Australia. In order to support talented new artists from those countries, who do not yet enjoy regular airplay in Holland, they choose the weekly KX Expat Plug In. This song receives special attention in their shows and is distributed among the KX DJ team.
